I have no Angels of Fury miniatures yet. As I am currently working on my standard Dark Angel Army so all i have are random bits that are left over from sprues that i did not use because of the new DA stuff. Ive done a color test of the Battle grey from the foundation paint set on a backpack to see how it would look. I plan on using that and the Mecharius red for my red needs.

Theres a whole idea for being the creation of multiple chapters which is part of the backstory.. I tried to go for something unorthodox. Ill get it up here eventually.

I know the sucessors do not do that but i figured it would be nice to look at instead of dull grey everywhere. That is mostly for me personally as I need some spark of coloration amist the grey while not having too much color... I get distracted otherwise.. Although I am still debating on just having them all be the battle company colors. Like I said the covenant chapter took my color scheme and i have had a hard time picking one that would fit. But If its something made evident in the fluff of DA successor chapters that I have missed ill be more then happy to fix my mistake.

Ill have to see if I can try and get a character done up. When is the deadline for that contest?

Well after doing a test on the random empty sprues the mecharius red while a great color gives off some blood angels feel.. Ill save it for my other non Unforgiven army idea. I am going to go battle grey for everything as it is also easier for me to weather.

The Company Master scanned the battlefield ahead of him. Orks advanced steadily across the terrain... terrain the Company Master picked for this engagement. If the Orks wanted a Waagh! he would give it to them under his chapters terms. Through his helm the Master saw the flash of runes indicating his forces were in position and drew his Power sword. In unison the battle-brothers made ready there bolters and other weapons as the whirlwind's payload screamed skyward to greet the enemy...

Combat Doctrine:
The Angels of Fury's combat doctrine can be summed up as maximizing there firepower upon a fluid battlefield. This is achieved with Devastators taking up favorable positions at what the chapter designates as "hard points". These points are positions that maximize there firepower while providing the squad cover. Vehicles are also often used at a hard point depending on the vehicle. Land Raiders are the most mobile providing cover for advancing troops as well as transporting the mighty Knightwing or Battle Company veterans while whirlwinds are the most fixed usually by a hard point.
The Angels of Fury concept of a maximizing firepower does not mean they do not assault. In fact there whole combat doctrine is designed around the assault. If the enemy is bred or trained for the assault the chapter adopts a let them come strategy with a violent countercharge to falter enemy movements. Likewise enemies that prefer ranged combat will find the Knightwing, the razorwing and battle company combat squads charging into them while there vehicles and other squads are met with the heavy weaponry of the hard points.

Supreme Grand Master Uriel:

Uriel has a long and illustrious history within the Angels of Fury. Records of his deeds start when he was chosen by the chaplaincy due to his confident tone full of righteous zeal and belief in the chapter. At a later point in time as a chaplain Uriel was inducted into the Inner circle and became an Interrogator Chaplain. It is said that learning of the truths about the unforgiven only fueled his zeal and strengthened his belief in the chapter the unforgiven and now there endless quest. Almost immediately afterwards Uriel was elevated to Interrogator chaplain of the Knightwing, a position he held for at least half a century.

It is during this time that it is believed by other members of the Inner Circle that Uriel was prepared for the burden an honor of being the Supreme Grand Master of the Angels of Fury and one of the Grand Masters of the Unforgiven under Azrael. Uriel demonstrated time and time again his competence not only as an interrogator chaplain but as a battlefield leader. During his time as an Interrogator chaplain, Uriel was able to get several confessions and still has his black pearls as proof. The previous Master of the Chapter is said to have made his decision to have Uriel as his successor after Uriel's deed on the planet of Kraxus VII, where Uriel led a small spearhead of mixed companies in putting down a rebellion and capturing a fallen member leading it as well as beating back the Traitor Night Lord Marines which were on planet. This was accomplished without the aid of the rest of the chapter due to a freak warp storm around the sector. While unprecedented for the chapter the decision to have a Interrogator chaplain and not a Company Master be his successor was met with no resistance.

And so it came to be that when the previous Master of the Chapter was no more that Uriel was named such, taking up the tools of his new position. He wears Faith's shield a suit of artificer armor that is much symbol of his authority as a suit of incredible protection. He like the rest of his chapter wears his helmet whenever in battle and in his initial dealings with non Unforgiven personnel. He has the distinct honor of wearing the Angelic Visage, which is a crusader patterned advanced helmet. It incorporates lost technology that lets it produce a field similar to that of a rosarious but it can also protects any squad he joins should he activate that function. To smite the foes of the Lion and the Emperor Uriel is armed with the Lion's might. This is a masterfully crafted power sword which incorporates the obsidian rock material of the Heavenfall blades. The blade is mostly made of that material and increases the strength of Uriels blows. Despite this the sword itself has an appearance that is more humble then one would think for such an sacred weapon. Lastly for smiting his foes from afar Uriel is armed with the Lion's Fury which is a masterfully made completely custom combi-plasma weapon. With these artifacts of the chapter Uriel is a commanding presence on the battlefield. He also allows the chapters most sacred banners to be flown only while he is a part of the battle. These artifacts are only brought out under the most direst of circumstances. For lesser engagements Uriel is known to wield a variety of weapons from powerfist to storm bolter.

Uriel maintains very close connections with the other unforgiven successor chapters as well as the Dark Angels. This is thought to be due to the rumor that the chapter was founded from multiple unforgiven chapters but regardless of the reason it no doubt has a purpose.

A Glimpse into the chapter:

The Chapter's composition seems to change depending on where they are or what they are doing. One thing that remains constant is that the First Company is comprised only of Terminators and the second company is an all bike and speeder company. The Knightwing and Razorwing they are called. However the way in which all companies fight changes. When amongst the Unforgiven or when on the hunt the Knightwing mixes its ranged and assault weapons together and the razorwing works closely with them. Also the chapters most sacred relics are used by those with the honor to carry them. These artifacts include the Lions Claw, the Razorwing's Jetbike, the Lions might and others. However when they are on there own or reinforcing other chapters or regiments these relics are not seen and other "lesser" relics are used in there place. As well the Knightwing's Terminators are broken down into ranged and assault squads. As well the Razorwing fills the role of fast support instead of a more independant role. Because of this the battle company veterans of the chapter fill in for some roles that otehr chapters first company may fill.

The Chapter views purity of there battle brothers and as well the gene seed as of the utmost importance. The Dark Angels Gene seed is one of the purest and as a result the Angels of Fury's Gene Seed is perfect. To keep there seed pure Apothecaries are always on hand whenever members of the chapter make council without anyone who is not of the Angels of Fury. The Chapter refuses to meet anyone without a Apothecary. In keeping in line with there purity they are highly xenophobic disdaining any abhuman.

[Yea.. I just want to use the new Space Marine Codex for something other then a pre-heresy army im working on so i made up some fluff for it. I think it works especially since i already have a Dark Angels army which utilizes that codex solely. Some actual Angels of Fury models are coming in the near future when i get my hands on some things.]
