Squad numbering hasn't really been done on the official miniatures. You can do a number of things:

Sergeant's heraldry is carried on the other Terminators.
Place a Squad number on the Terminators Left Leg piece or knee pad.
Incorporate the Squad number into the Shoulder Pad.

Then I just drybrushed my first highlight layer of blazing orange a little more than halfway down the blade, and then drybrushed a 50/50 mix of skull white and blazing orange on the tip and edges. voila! As to transfers, I have no idea but if you can get transfer paper, you can print them out.
