Well, these are just about as close to done as I can call them. Just a few last re-touches and finishing touches to the lot and I think they will be ready to hunt the fallen!
P.S. I just realized when I saw the picture that I put DW iconography on both the pred and rhino......i'm not sure what I was thinking, must have been temporarily warp confused or something!

hi there, im new to dark angels but also new to the hobby and while my painting skills are.....pleasing, i can't help but admit by bases are slacking. so far my bases is just sand painted to fit an urban battlefield but i would really like to take it one step ahead... any ideas on how to do this? even step-by-step guides?? i purchased AOBC box set and want to do something different with my Dreadnaught and even my captain!!

I'm new to this forum but used to be a store manager for GW for almost 3yrs and used to also paint for the 'Eavy Metal team - all in all I have been into the hobby since I was 14 (I'm 31 now).

I left GW about 5/6 years ago now and have recently decided (with some friends of mine) to get back into it.

My chapter of choice was always Angels of Vengeance so that's what I've gone with, so far I've picked up the 5th edition rules and...

Only very early stages, but my first attempt at Deathwing armour and I'm quite pleased. Continuing the purple theme onto Brother Captain Achaia of the first company. Still needs a *lot* of work, and currently toying with the idea of arming him with the assault cannon from the DA veteran sprue. Again, I'm mindful of not over colouring and making the character too fussy. Dark Angels are not known for their sartorial experimentation after all!

Angels of Vigilance project.

After almost a year of hiatus, I decided to give Dark Angels (in power armor) another go.... but this time I'll be doing in form of their sucessors, the Angels of Vigilance. I always fancied the idea of a yellow chapter... with foundation paints it'll be alot easier. So stay tuned for the progress of my AoV.
It'll be cool to play DA again.. I've made peace with myself and I'm able to accept the rule-set. E-bay shopping, here I come.

Before i start asking questions I'd like to give an overview to the wargear that my company master has in adition to the standard wargear:
plasma pistol (wrist mounted)
combi plasma gun
thunder hammer
melta bombs

Ive made the thunder hammer myself out of spare bitz, from top to bottom its about 3/4 up the running robed body from the DA sprue. Is this about the right size or should i make the handle longer?

I'm also planning on 'bulking up' his armour. Adding should...

The bits I'm looking for are from the Marneus Calgar and Honor Guard box. The only parts I want are the helms from his honor guard. I've been to several websites most notably the warstore.com and no luck.

Anyone know of any other bits webstores?

First Dark Angels since the early 90s
I made the Helmet mere months before the new DA were featured in White Dwarf.
I've since been busy with commissions and such and have just begun painting it again.
In the pictures it is held together with Poster Tacky.
