As I know you can't have a DA Board without the Angels of Darkness thread, I thought I would be the one to start it, thereby getting my analysis at the top of the thread!

It seems to me that the book is one of parallels. The author uses Astellan's narative as a device to show Boreas the current state of the Chapter, and where it is headed.

Astellan argues that the DA have lost their way by becoming nothing more than servants for Humanity, when they should be rulers, leading...

I have read several of the stories of the dark times of the heresy. But nowhere have I seen which of the Dark Gods was responsible for the tainting of Caliban. Here is what I think.

I surmise that it was primarily Slaanesh and his minions. The Brothers were deceived and led astray. Khorne would have slaughtered the population, Nurgle would have diseased them, Tzeentch would have made many of them pyskers or such. And Slaanesh would think it hilarious to scatter the Fallen across...

Okay, until Grendelwulf discovers this site and makes his grand appearance. I'll fill in for a while.

In the Angels of Darkness, an additional layer of fluff was given over to the Fallen Angels. In that, the Angels tend to fall into different sub-sects based upon how far they fell.

This thread is meant to be a background piece for the different sects.
